Under no circumstances do we use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person. Furthermore, we use cookies and analysis services for visits to our website. Further details regarding this can be found in sections 4 and 5 of this Data Protection Policy.

4. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device (laptop/PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do not harm your device, and do not contain viruses, Trojans or any other malicious software.

The cookie stores information which is generated in connection with the specific device used. This does not mean, however, that we thereby immediately obtain knowledge about your identity.

On the one hand, employing cookies is intended to make the use of our website more convenient for you. For this reason, we use so-called session cookies in order to be able to recognise that you have already visited individual pages on our website. These are automatically deleted after leaving our website.

In addition, in order to optimise user-friendliness, we also use temporary cookies, which are stored on your device for a specified period of time. If you revisit our website to make use of our services, it is automatically recognised that you have already visited us, as well as the entries and settings you have made, so that you do not have to re-enter them.

On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our services for you. These cookies enable us to automatically recognise, in the event of a repeat visit, that you have already been with us. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time.

The data processed by cookies is necessary for the purposes mentioned in order to safeguard our legitimate interests, as well as those of third parties, on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 page 1 lit. f DSGVO. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser in such a way that no cookies are stored on your device or that a message always appears before a new cookie is created. However, disabling cookies completely may mean that you will not be able to use all the functions of our website.

5. Analysis Tools

Tracking Tools
The tracking measures listed in the following and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 page 1 lit. f DSGVO. With the aid of the tracking measures used, we strive to guarantee the customised layout and continuous optimisation of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our services for you. These interests are to be regarded as legitimate within the meaning of the above-mentioned provision.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.

5.1. Google Analytics
in order to be able to provide a customised layout and to continuously optimise our website, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”). In this context, pseudonymised user profiles are created and cookies (see section 4) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as:

• browser type/version;
• operating system used;
• referrer URL (the page previously visited);
• host name of the accessing computer (IP address);
• time of the server request, are transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide further services related to the use of the website and of the Internet for the purposes of market research and the customised layout of these websites.

This information may also be forwarded to third parties, in as far as this is required by law, or in as far as third parties are commissioned to process this data. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other Google data. The IP addresses are anonymised, so that assignment is not possible (IP masking).

You can prevent installation of the cookies by making the appropriate settings in the browser software. However, we would like to point out that, in this case, perhaps not all of the functions of this website can be used to their full extent.

Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address), as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

An opt-out cookie is set which prevents any future collecting of your data when visiting this website. The opt-out cookie is valid only in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device.

If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will have to reset the opt-out cookie. You can find more information about data protection in connection with Google Analytics at, for example, Google Analytics Support (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).

5.2. Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
In order to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate this for the purpose of optimising our website for you, we also use Google Conversion Tracking. This means that a cookie (see section 4) is set on your computer by Google Adwords, if you have come to our website via a Google advert.

These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Adwords customer’s website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognise that the user has clicked on the advert and was redirected to this site.

Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies therefore cannot be tracked via the websites of Adwords customers. The information collected with the aid of the conversion cookie is used to draw up conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The Adwords customers see the total number of users who have clicked on their advert and who were redirected to a site with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information which allows users to be personally identified.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse the required setting of a cookie, for example, via a browser setting which generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”. You can find Google’s Data Protection Notice on conversion tracking here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html).

6. Rights of Affected Persons

You have the right:
• in accordance with Art. 7 para 3 DSGVO, to revoke at any time the consent you initially granted to us. This means that, in the future, we are no longer permitted to continue the data processing which is based on this consent;
• in accordance with Art. 15 DSGVO, to request information about your personal data as processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data was or is disclosed, the planned retention period, the existence of a right to rectification, deletion, limitation of processing or objection, the existence of a right of appeal, the source of your data, in as far as it was not collected by us, as well as about the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and, where appropriate, meaningful information about their details;
• in accordance with Art. 16 DSGVO, to immediately request the rectification of incorrect data or the completion of your personal data as stored by us;
• in accordance with Art. 17 DSGVO, to request the deletion of your personal data as stored by us, in as far as processing is not necessary for the exercise of the right to free expression and information, for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;
• in accordance with Art. 18 DSGVO, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, in as far as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you reject its deletion and we no longer need the data, whereas you, however, require this data to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, or you have lodged an objection against processing in accordance with Art. 21 DSGVO;
• in accordance with Art. 20 DSGVO, to receive your personal data, which you have made available to us, in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request transfer to another responsible entity;
• in accordance with Art. 77 DSGVO, to make a complaint to a supervisory authority. For this purpose, you can, in general, contact the supervisory authority at your usual place of residence or place of work.

7. Right of Objection

In as far as your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para 1 page 1 lit. f DSGVO, you have the right, in accordance with Art. 21 DSGVO, to lodge an objection against the processing of your personal data, in as far as there are reasons for this resulting from your particular situation, or the objection is levelled against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which will be implemented by us without specification of any particular situation.

If you would like to exercise your right of revocation or objection, it is sufficient to send an email to data@welove.events.

8. Data Security

For visits to our website, we use the popular TSL (Transport Layer Security) protocol in conjunction with the highest level of encryption which is supported by your Browser. In general, this is a 256-bit encryption. You can see whether an individual page of our website is encrypted by the closed representation of the key or lock icon in the lower status bar of your browser.

In addition, we employ appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, as well as against unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are subject to continuous improvement in line with technological developments.

9. Currentness and Changes to this Data Protection Policy

As a result of the further development of our website and associated services, or due to altered legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this Data Protection Policy. You can view and print out the updated Data Protection Policy at any time on the website at www.arise-events.com/en/data-protection/.
