When talking about the world’s leading companies for optical technologies and high-tech, one name cannot be ignored: Jenoptik. Jenoptik is one of the world leaders in optical technologies for the semiconductor equipment and medical technology industries and for smart mobility solutions. More than 4,400 employees work at Jenoptik worldwide, most of them at the Group’s headquarters in Jena (Germany). In September 2022, the foundation stone was laid for an expansion of the group: Jenoptik is investing over 70 million euros in a new and modern production facility for micro-optics and sensors in Dresden. The new high-tech fab offers a total of 11,000 square meters of net usable space, 2,000 square meters of which is for clean room production. The start of production is planned for early 2025.
The event managers of our event agency from Dresden implemented the ground-breaking ceremony for the new high-tech production facility in so-called “Silicon Saxony” for Jenoptik in the presence of Saxony’s Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer, Mayor Stephan Kühn and other representatives of the photonics group in the form of a two-part event . Press and media representatives as well as business partners were invited to attend this celebratory moment together. For the employees already working at the Dresden location and their families, there was also a nice surprise after the groundbreaking: the first summer event on the site of the newly created high-tech fab, with delicious food, great live music and various activities. The event managers of our event agency from Dresden were responsible for the entire conception and full implementation of both events. We are proud to have contributed to the beginning of another chapter in the success of Jenoptik with these events.
